No. Golf Course Rehab does not perform or manage renovation work. The course's own architect, superintendent and contractors do the renovation. Our role is to document and film the project from the first walkthrough to the finished course.

Dan Kost created Golf Course Rehab and serves as its executive producer. The series is produced by dakdan entertainment, a brand entertainment marketing agency headquartered in Colorado, USA.

You can watch Golf Course Rehab on the official YouTube channel (@dakdanentertainment) and on the Watch page at golfcourserehab.com, which hosts the trailer, featurettes and episodes as they release.

Every episode follows four production phases: the Walkthrough, where the crew meets the team and documents the property as it is; Filming, where the renovation is captured as the course's own team carries it out; Post-Production, where the story is edited; and the Premiere, when the finished course and the story are shared with the community and the audience.

Cost and funding

Nothing. Golf Course Rehab costs the golf course $0. Production is financed through state film office incentives, and the only thing we ask of the course is administrative assistance such as scheduling, site access, permissions and paperwork.

Golf Course Rehab is financed through state film office incentive programs. Many states reward film and television productions that spend money and hire crew locally. dakdan entertainment structures each project to qualify under the host state's program, which pays for the production. Eligibility and approval are determined by each state film office.

The course continues to fund and manage its own renovation exactly as it already planned. Golf Course Rehab does not add a production fee, and it does not pay for or take over the renovation. If your course is already planning an irrigation, clubhouse, pro shop, greens or full renovation project, we document it.

Administrative assistance means a point of contact, access to the property and key staff on filming days, the renovation schedule, signed filming and location releases, and help gathering records that the state film office requires, such as local vendor and contractor information. We provide templates and handle the filing process.

A state film office incentive is a program, often a tax credit or rebate, that a state offers to film and television productions that shoot and spend money in that state. Programs, requirements and approval timelines vary by state, and not every state is currently accepting applicants.

Eligibility depends on whether your state's film office has an active incentive program that fits a series like ours. Apply from any state. We will confirm your state's program and timing with you before anything is signed.

For course owners

Submit the free application at golfcourserehab.com/apply. The team reviews every application and selects projects based on the scope and timing of the renovation, the story, the state's incentive program and the owner's willingness to be filmed.

Irrigation upgrades, greens and bunker renovations, clubhouse and pro shop remodels, drainage work, restaurant and event space upgrades and full course renovations can all qualify. The project should already be planned, funded by the course, and scheduled so filming can begin before or during construction.

Yes. The course keeps its architect, contractors, budget and decisions. Filming and release terms, including how the course and its people are portrayed, are set in a written agreement before filming begins.

No. Applying is free and carries no obligation. There is no production fee at any stage.

Yes. Public, municipal, semi-private, private and resort courses can all apply. Municipal courses are a strong fit because parks and recreation departments often already have a renovation capital plan in motion.

Golf course renovation basics

Golf courses usually renovate because of aging irrigation and drainage, worn greens and bunkers, outdated clubhouses and pro shops, or the need to attract more rounds and memberships. Documenting the work helps a course tell its community and sponsors what is changing and why.

A signature hole is the single most memorable hole on a golf course, the one players photograph and talk about. When a featured renovation includes one, the series gives it a dedicated spotlight.

A restoration returns a course to its original architect's design, while a renovation modernizes or changes it. Golf Course Rehab documents both kinds of project.

A conventional full golf course renovation commonly takes six to eighteen months, while targeted projects like an irrigation system or a pro shop remodel can take far less. Our filming schedule follows the course's own construction schedule.

Sponsors and partners

Brands sponsor Golf Course Rehab through tiers that range from a $10,000 intro sponsorship per episode to a $1,000,000 Executive Producer sponsorship per season. See golfcourserehab.com/partners for every tier and benefit.

Depending on the tier, sponsors receive presenting billing, integrated brand stories, product placement on featured projects, naming opportunities and digital, social and on-site activation. Sponsorship supports the series and never adds cost to a featured course.
